In the past centuries Castenedolo has been one of the preferred destinations by the rich and aristocratic families of the city in order to pass the summer months, enjoying the rural quiet of the countryside and vineyards. It is not a coincidence that many of the palaces and the villas still today have well-preserved wine cellars decorated in white marble and large oak barrels.
In 1497 the Queen of Cyprus Caterina Cornaro, one of the most important families in the Venetian Republic, during her official visit in Brescia took the advice of her brother Giorgio to sojourned in the village, being delighted by the vineyards on the hill.
First fermentation in neutral oak barrels where the wine refines for 6 months, applying the batonnage technique, "C" Chardonnay is definitevly a fruity, savoury, fresh and crispy white wine.
The careful and meticulous care in the vineyard and in the cellar allowed this wine to have a low content of histamine (less than 0,5mg/liter) as indicated in the "Low Histamines research".

Perfume: intense and persistent, with reminds of fresh harvested fruit, pineapple and apricot.
Taste: fresh and savoury, structured and persistent with a pleasant mineral aftertaste and a hint of vanilla.
Aging: first fermentation in French oak barrels where the wine spent other 6 months (batonnage period).
Bottle size: 750 ml.
Alcohol content: 13% Vol.
Service temperature: 10°C/50° F.
Matching: wine for the whole meal, soups, vegetables and fish. Amazing with fish crudités.
